I reallllllly need help with this!! A student claims that the y-intercept of the graph of the function y=abx is the point (0, b). What is the student’s mistake? What is the actual y-intercept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the student's mistake is that he didn't properly use the formula y = mx + b y intercept: y value when x = 0. actual intercept is 0.

Thanks so much!!
