I'm leaning toward the communist takeover in china vietnam would be after Korea and was an Eisenhower/Kennedy problem although the peace in Japan was partially in response to fears of Russian expansion but I don't think containment was the 'policy' at that point. containment came later...in response to what the soviets were doing in Europe...Hungary for instance... so i'd go with japan too early vietnam too late france and indochina already eliminated that leaves china as the best answer....although id check the index of your text book for containment
