Which pair of terms are like terms? I need this answer PLEASE! Medals will be given. A. 4 and 4t B. 5m and 3mm C. 10 and 4a D. 8 and 8xy
Which ones are the most similar?
5m and 3mm
Close. But that isn't it. I'll give you another hint. It is not D, either.
A. 4 and 4t with the same numbers?
Yes! Good job!
Hello Like terms are terms that can be added together x + x are like terms \[x + x^2\] are not like terms because they cannot be added. 5 + 5 are like terms 5 and 5x are not like terms
So apparently it's none of the above.
None of those are like terms.
No, it is A, I have taken this course on FLVS before. :P
Explain.
"In algebraic expressions, like terms are terms that contain the same variables raised to the same power." Sorry, but the answer should be: None of the above
It's a question on Florida Virtual School so
I'm closing the question bye and thanks guys
i'll wait till she is done
I'm only going by the answer that I got graded as correct. (by the FLVS gradebook and what we were specifically were taught) The answer may be wrong, but that is what the curriculum perceives as correct, I guess.
I now question the legitimacy of FLVS...
Haha, I agree.
