They should make an off-topic section
Most off-topic posts are made here which aren't feedback.
Off topic section doesn't meet the expectations of Open Study nor what OS represents. At least that's what they always tell me when I try to make suggestions. They still haven't told me a good reason enough for the chat though.

@hero i know, but isn't that the case for every forum? Offtopic sections are in every forum, aswel a section where new members can introduce themselves. That doesn't meet the expectation in most forums but still they have them. This community is not about studying alone, there also needs to be room to discuss offtopic stuff with the same people you like to discuss study problems. I think an offtopic and member introduction section would be a great idea.
Hello, Thomaster, my name is Stephen. The problem with off-topic sections is it doesn't represent the purpose behind OpenStudy. You see, OpenStudy is a website full of study groups. Some of these study groups are then composed of sub-study groups e.g., linear algebra. Miscellaneous or an off-topic section doesn't meet the criteria of a 'study group,' but rather, a place for introduction, random questions, and of course, trolling. If you notice at the bottom of the screen, for each group you're studying, you get a popout chat window. I suggest using that window if you want to make an impact. Get to know people, make friends, fan users, and chat often. On your profile you also have the option to write a short autobiography about yourself. If anyone is interested in adding you as a contact or knowing you further, they can simply read that or send you a message. Any off-topic questions are concerns, or anything that doesn't already have it's own study group, or does not fit in the Feedback section, can be emailed to a moderator or an OpenStudy Ambassador. I hope this was insightful. Regards Your friendly neighborhood Spiderman.
