how do I find the surface area of a rectangular prism that has a pyramid on top? The base of the rectangular prism is 8 by 8 and one of the bases is shared with the pyramid. The height leading to the pyramid is 20 and all the edges of the pyramid are 10. So how do I find the Surface area and volume

OpenStudy (espex):

The surface area of a pyramid is Base Area + 1/2 × Perimeter × Slant Length and the surface area of a rectangular prism is 2lw + 2wh + 2lh Find the surface area of both figures and then subtract 2(Base Area) from the total.
