terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

What is the formula for the area of a triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your not suppoesd to do base times height. this is the 30 60 90 triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer has to have a root sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here are the choices: 25, 25 root 3, 50, 50 root 3

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Well, using these methods, etc... they all boil down to using the formula \[\LARGE A= \frac{bh}2\]anyway :P

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

we need to find this value...|dw:1368288792988:dw|

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Ideas? And remember, since this is an equilateral triangle, it follows that this angle measures...|dw:1368288829490:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if I use A= bh/ 2, I get 50. and that's not the correct answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answers are in the back of the packet, and the answer is 25 root 3.

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

I'd love to know how you got 50 using bh/2 What's your value for b and h?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10 times 10 divided by 2

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Nope...|dw:1368289043813:dw|
