let me type this out

OpenStudy (rainbow_dash):

simplify \[3(\tan^2 \theta - \sec^2 \theta)\]

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

\(1+\tan^2\theta=\sec^2\theta\) Does this help? @Rainbow_Dash

OpenStudy (rainbow_dash):

kind of but i don't really know where to go from that. i haven't had this stuff in 2 years :3

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

hmm. instead of \(sec^2\theta\) u can plug in \(1+\tan^2\theta\) and combine the like terms.

OpenStudy (rainbow_dash):

okok
