please help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

look at the codes....i think complementary strand is formed but there is 3 extra nucleotides....in place of cytosine there should be guanine and vice versa .....and adenine should come in place for thymine and vice versa..... what is mutation in which in addition to complementary sequence extra something is inserted?

OpenStudy (anoop27):

Answer is Insertion In genetics, an insertion (also called an insertion mutation) is the addition of one or more nucleotide base pairs into a DNA sequence.
