well weren't germans looked down upon or something because of WW1. No one wanted anything to do with them since they owed a debt to the united states, france and britain. since 9/11, islamic americans and arab americans (sorry i don't mean to offend) tend to be looked at as "terrorists" because of what happened in 9/11 and the other terrorist attacks that we've had in the united states from arab/islamic americans.
