find the area of a sector with a central angle of 32 degrees and a radius of 8.5 millimeters. round the nearest tenth.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

There is a formula for this but it is good to understand it. If the central angle is 32 degrees the sector is 32/360 of the entire circle. Do you understand that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you would divide 32/360?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I would like it if you would just answer my question. That would be the most helpful.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't.

There are 360 degrees in a circle. If we have 90 degrees, that is 90/360 or 1/4 of the circle.
