Calculus Help: The answer is supposed to be C, but it seems to me that it should be D? (picture attached)

g(3) looks correct to me... g(x) is basically the area under the curve from 0 to x, which is greatest from 0 to 3.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, that was the logic I used as well, but my answer key says it's g(1). I know the answer key isn't wrong, I just have no idea how it's right.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

How do you know the answer key isn't wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's for an official AP practice test, the key has been reviewed hundreds of times.

I just did my calc AB exam last week lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was prepared for bc but my teacher didnt let me do it cuz i only prepared for like a week for all of the extra stuff in bc..she wanted me to have spent more time. Now let's take a look at this problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@KeasbeyDays Are you sure ur looking at the answer to the right question in the key? Because g(1) is incorrect for sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wow that was actually the problem. Somehow my answer key got flipped to the next page and I didn't notice because all the pages are just numbers with letters next to them. It is D. Thanks a lot. I feel pretty dumb now though haha.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I agree. I don't care how many times it's been reviewed... unless there's something I'm missing, it's wrong. You can calculate the area to check...

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Ah :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol
