i can edit my question,but wouldnt it be convenient to also edit my comments lest i make an error with my response and i want to make it more clear

you can always copy your comment, delete it, and paste the corrected version of your comment.
we cannot allow editing the comments option. Some ppl may give out answer (or may even say something inappropriate) and then edit their comments and say, i never said so...lot of ambiguity...
there maybe others reasons too....

Yep, there *are* other reasons...
Formost, it could disrupt the flow of the conversation if abused !
