This is going to sound ridiculous, but I don't remember how to add/subtract these matrices, and my lesson doesn't leave me a video to watch like it normally does. Can somebody explain to me how to do these? I'm not asking for you to do them for me, just teach me how. I think there's one with adding, subtracting, and one I think is multiplying.
Are those just matrix operations?
They might be. I didn't think I was using the right terms. But that's all my lesson said.
Box and whisker is this: http://www.purplemath.com/modules/boxwhisk.htm What you have looks like matrix operations. \[k\left[\begin{matrix}a&b\\c&d\end{matrix}\right]=\left[\begin{matrix}ka&kb\\kc&kd\end{matrix}\right]\]
Yeah I thought that didn't look right. I'll edit my question lol.
\[\left[\begin{matrix}a&b\\c&d\end{matrix}\right]+\left[\begin{matrix}e&f\\g&h\end{matrix}\right]=\left[\begin{matrix}a+e&b+f\\c+g&d+h\end{matrix}\right]\]
I think I can do all of them but the one that has the +2 in the middle.
It is just a constant, like the k example. Do that part first.
I did the one that you multiply -0.5. I got|dw:1368379535669:dw|
