What is the median of the following set of data? 19, 45, 62, 5, 23, 45, 98, 11 A. 45 B. 34 C. 38.5 D. 14
Do you the formula for calculating median of an even numbered set?
order the numbers from least to greatest first.. ! the answer is B! 100% absolutely sure I promise!!!
thanks gaby!
Just use the following formula : \(\cfrac{1}{2} ( (\cfrac{n}{2})^{th} term +( \cfrac{n}{2} + 1)^{th} term ) \) here n = 8 , so : \(\cfrac{1}{2} ( 4^{th} \space \text{term} + 5^{th} \space \text{ term})\) Arrange the given numbers in ascending order and then find 4th and 5th term. Put the values in the above formula . You'll get your answer.
thanks @mathslover i already got my answer with @GabiMB but thanks anyway!
@gabi, good work but I am sorry, try to guide the users instead of giving direct answers. Your's way of answering / helping users will not help the askers.
