OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

The compounded monthly is throwing me off

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

250 + 250 + 130 http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%28%28613.47%281%2B.178%2F12%29+-250%29%281%2B.178%2F12%29-250%29%281%2B.178%2F12%29 see if u can understand my calc

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

compounding monthly means, they calculate interest on outstanding balance every month here the interest rate is 17.8%, thats for 1 year. so for every month they calculate interest of 17.8/12 %, and update outstanding balance.

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

o.O I guess it makes sense.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
