Why is it important to know axiom, corollary, postulate, theorem, and plane? I already know you can't solve a problem without these but I just need to know why they are important.

Like why do I need these? Other than to solve a problem?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

Math requires proof. And it gets to be a pain in the tuckuss when you have to keep proving the same things over and over and over again. Therefore, once something is proven, it can then be referenced instead of reproved

OpenStudy (amistre64):

axiom of course cannot be proven, they are by default, fundamental definitions
