Which relationship represent competition?

thomaster (thomaster):

i quess you forgot to post the options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plants in forest Fish in sea A herd of deer Wolf and Hyena on the prey

thomaster (thomaster):

okay competition is like survival of the fittest between organisms. So one wins. But in competition both partys are competing. Both partys are after the same thing, like food or territory. Do you have an idea of what could be the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i really dunno :( , thanks for replying me

thomaster (thomaster):

oke is only 1 answer correct? or can more be

thomaster (thomaster):

Because i see 1 answer that is totally correct and 2 that could be correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah just one answer, i think also the first answer?

thomaster (thomaster):

plants in a forest CAN compete with eachother for nutrients and water etc. But I don't think this is the correct answer because this example doesn't show competition directly

thomaster (thomaster):

what will 2 predators do when they're both after the same prey?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh i really wish that i know any thing about it :(

thomaster (thomaster):

let me explain it easyer. When you want the last cookie and the person next to you wants it too. what will happen?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'll give it to him or i'll share it with him

thomaster (thomaster):

no you 2 despise eachother. Who will get the cookie now?

thomaster (thomaster):

you'll end up in a physical or verbal fight and one of you will win. The winner gets the cookie. That is an example of competition. Which of your answers looks like this example?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the last answer?

thomaster (thomaster):

yes the wolf competes with the hyena to get the prey :) So it's an example of competition

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thankkss friend

thomaster (thomaster):
