why plants don't need specialized respiratory system?

thomaster (thomaster):

Because plants use photosynthese instead of lungs. They take in carbon dioxide and water and they convert it to sugar and oxygen with the help of sunlight

OpenStudy (aaronq):

hmm i would say that they don't need a specialized system because their tissues are thin enough to be able to exchange gases throughout them by means of diffusion.
