3^2x=27

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

27=3^3 --> 3^2z=3^3 --> 2x=3 --> x=3/2

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

i meant 2x in the second step.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

since 27 = 3^3, you can write it like this \[\huge 3^{2x}=3^3\] Now since the bases are equal, you can just set the exponents equal to each other.

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

umm. is it 3^(2x) or (3^2)*x ? i told you what you have to do if its the former.. if its the latter then.. 9*x=27 --> x=3..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wel thnx....the first working was correct......

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

You're welcome. And.. i see you are new here. So if you find an answer useful, you are supposed to give medals. ;) @prasheelasingh
