OpenStudy (lilkim089):

The amount of calories the body requires each day depends upon the body's: A. level of antioxidants. B. level of essential amino acids. C. daily recommended allowance. D. metabolic rate.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

I would say: D. Some people burn through calories faster than others.

OpenStudy (lilkim089):

So you dont think it would be b?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

You know, eating more calories =/= getting more amino acids. Also, eating at least 2000+ calories a day is recommended regardless of your metabolism. So I'd say: C. You need to eat the recommended calories for your activity level. If you play a lot of high energy sports, you exhaust a lot so you need at least 3200 calories. If you sit around all day and do nothing, you need 1500,2000 calories.
