Find the mean and standard deviation of the of data. Round to the nearest tenth. 13, 11, 19, 21, 8, 18, 12

OpenStudy (amistre64):

subtract 10 and work the smaller set

OpenStudy (amistre64):

{13, 11, 19, 21, 8, 18, 12} - 10 {3, 1, 9, 11, -2, 8, 2}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh standard deviation

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the std deviation of the smaller set is the same as the larger set the mean is just different by how much was subtracted to start with

OpenStudy (amistre64):

id take it down even further {13, 11, 19, 21, 8, 18, 12} - 10 {3, 1, 9, 11, -2, 8, 2} - 6 {-3, -5, 3, 5, -8, 2, -4} ; this pretty much zeroes it all out, -10/7 + 16 is the mean of the larger set then

OpenStudy (amistre64):

std dev is just to subtract the mean, square them up, add em up and divide by the number of the population (or n-1 of a sample)
