A student sitting completely still in a chair has forces acting upon them. Give two forces that are acting upon the student. Which direction are these forces pushing/pulling ?

one is the force of gravity pulling in the downward direction.... another is the reaction force exerted by the chair on the student in upward direction.........

well....u neednot figure it out...what other forces could be there....these are the only forces acting on the student and since they are acting opposite to each other....the student is sitting still.......

its one of the newtons laws the force you apply on some object the same force the object will apply on u equally.thats why N=mg where N is normal force exerted by chair on the student..!
