Help Idk how to do this! multiple choice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (aaronq):

products - reactants = 64.2 - 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 0j?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

no, 62.4 kJ - 0 = 62.4 kJ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but thats not in my options? @aaronq

OpenStudy (aaronq):

yes it is, you need to convert it to J

OpenStudy (aaronq):

and express it in scientific notation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how to convert it?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

1 kJ = 1000 J

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait so do I do 62.4 / 1000?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@aaronq

OpenStudy (aaronq):

hm you're doing it wrong.. the conversion is analogous to converting from kilometers to meters. 1 km = 1000 m 1 kJ = 1000 J so if you have to travel 62.4 km.. you would travel 62.4 km x 1000 m/1km it's the same thing for what you're doing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still don't get how that gets me one of my answers below?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

62.4 x 1000 = 62400

OpenStudy (aaronq):

now express it scientific notation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6.24 x 10^2 ? Im sorry I dont really know how to express it in scientific notation?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

6.24x10^4
