how to find surface area of a balloon when given the circumference

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In this case, we shall assume that the balloon is perfectly spherical. circumference=2*pi*r hence r=circumference/(2*pi) hence now we know the radius of the sphere, then surface area=4*pi*r^2 I don't know, why the Greek letters in the equation is not working, therefore I have to draw it. |dw:1368602363593:dw|
