Stuck on 2 questions!!! Someone Help? http://www.clipular.com/c?5945873=gitW7NDsrmVRo8qvTOrSzvqflSM&f=.png <----- http://www.clipular.com/c?5974119=t1EMsFF0ytOlYkuAi859cpZ68Lo&f=.png <-----
for the first question u basically just have to add the 2 fractions
for the second question u will have to use distributive property for 3(c+b) and then combine like terms. lemme know if that helps(:
so the second one is 3c + 9b
well if u use distributive property ur gonna end up with 3c + 3b +9b -c so when u combine those like terms: 3c-c = ? 3b+9b =?
3c-c = 3c? xD
xD well if u have 3c's lol and u take away one.. ur gonna have how many left? haha
um 2c?
lol
yeah haha ok so now the b terms. 3b + 9b would equal?
12b?
mhm:D so 2c+12b is equal to 3(c+b) + 9b-c
Ah! lol Thank you xD
no problem(:
what about the first question? you just add the two fractions?
oh no wait actually.. i think u would multiply it bc it says 13/5 'times' as long right?
1 3/5 ? or do u mean 13/5
1 3/5 lol
oh ok xD so multiply ?
yeah try that haha
Ok lemeh see
2 1/2 * 1 3/5 =3= hmmmm
haha wanna try converting them into improper fractions? ;p
yea.. im stumped here xD i forgot how xDD
LOL alright hold on
|dw:1368563995400:dw| so when converting mixed fractions into improper fractions u multiply the denominator with the whole number and then add the numerator. so with 2 1/2 you would have 2x2= 4 then 4+1 = 5 so u have 5/2. then the same for the other fraction. then u cross multiply the 2 improper fractions XD kinda make sense?
