Rectangular object?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what it say on the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is there anything more in the question?

Well, (x-4) must be a factor, and the other factor must not have a real solution (it must be a quadratic, in that case). Divide the whole thing by x-4 (do it like normal long division) and you'll see the other factor. I'm not sure what the question is asking.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you divide it by?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-4). It's just like any other long division: you multiply by whatever it takes to get rid of the largest term (highest power of x, in this case) and then subtract that multiple to see what's left.
