I enjoy coming onto this website and helping people, but I'm not sure what it's all about. What is the purpose of the SmartScore or the medals?

The SmartScore is a measure of your social capital, your social kred!  How good a helper are you?  How well liked? How smart? and the like

It is about helping people through appropriate peer tutoring.  At least that is how I see it.  The rest is just a system for helping stimulate the intrinsic rewards system, which helps make it more enjoyable.

It is just to tell you how good you answer some one and how good you doing your work.........that what i think the purpose is .... :)
