PLEASE HELP!! One angle of a triangle measures 65º. The side opposite this angle has length 10. If the area of the triangle is 20, find the perimeter.
Drawing triangle would be good start.|dw:1368582832739:dw|
i got that far, but I did not know what to do next.
What did you recently learn?
I mean, what math topic are you currently on?
I learned about sine, cosine, and tangent, but for this problem I am not allowed to use the formula \[K=\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }bc sinA\]
If I were able to use this formula, I would get the correct answer, which is perimeter=25. IS there another way to solve this problem without using that formula?
Can you explain how you got 25?
To me, it seems like there is not enough given information. What do you think? @satellite73

i am posting a picture of what i did, givve me a sec...
Wow, I tagged some good helpers, yet none of them want to help you...
i wonder why
Me too...
So that is what I did to get the answer, but i cant use the formula.
maybe they are not helping because the problem is too hard.
or maybe they are not online
Hmm. And this problem prohibits you to use law of sines?
The only formula we can not use is what I used in the first line of the problem. Without that formula I do not know how else to solve the problem.
I am now trying to draw a circle around the triangle and use geometry theorems to find the answer. But still having trouble :(
Me too...
To be honest, I suck at Geometry, but I have a feel that this can help you...|dw:1368585348220:dw|
