how to make the quadratic equation , and like figure out if its up or down

Well if the coefficient on the x term is negative then the graph will open down. Are you in calculus?

If you are we can use derivatives and if not that ok to, but i dont want to show how to solve the probelm using tools you haven't learned yet.
