Are children under the age of 4 more likely to be victims of accidental poisining?
I'd say Yes, It is the age of 4 they are most likely to eat something unkown...since they are exploring more things, and if you realize, children at a young age , eat anything they find almost (:
Most definitely. Kids at that age are curious and exploring their surroundings. Things like cabinets under the sink where cleaning chemicals are kept or things like rat poisoning left behind are something four year old kids would find interesting, and would attempt to eat. At that age, four year olds are much more likely to be poisoned, not because of someone else ( I hope ) but because of their own curiosity and not having someone watching them to make sure they stay out of trouble.
I would have to say yes. Children from the ages of 2-4 are curious and want to exploring everything that they see or touch. I can remember my children being at the age of 2. Every hear of the saying "terrible 2"? That have this saying because children at this age are into everything and anything they can get into. This is also why they require parents with children at this age to have some type of lock on their cabinets that hold cleaning chemicals in them, or they ask you to put cleaning supplies up high where children cannot reach them.
