i have to write a thesis statement for the chosen, can someone help me? i dont really understand what a thesis is
Why Should Your Essay Contain a Thesis Statement? to test your ideas by distilling them into a sentence or two to better organize and develop your argument to provide your reader with a “guide” to your argument In general, your thesis statement will accomplish these goals if you think of the thesis as the answer to the question your paper explores.
A thesis statement: tells the reader how you will interpret the significance of the subject matter under discussion. is a road map for the paper; in other words, it tells the reader what to expect from the rest of the paper. directly answers the question asked of you. A thesis is an interpretation of a question or subject, not the subject itself. The subject, or topic, of an essay might be World War II or Moby wingspan; a thesis must then offer a way to understand the war or the novel. makes a claim that others might dispute. is usually a single sentence somewhere in your first paragraph that presents your argument to the reader. The rest of the paper, the body of the essay, gathers and organizes evidence that will persuade the reader of the logic of your interpretation.

Our professor on Thesis Statements here didn't mention s/he copied it from Indiana University. http://www.indiana.edu/~wts/pamphlets/thesis_statement.shtml It would have been better if you had just gave Sabrina this link.
I didnt get it from that website for i got it from a diffrent one and my brain
Also, remember to adequately answer all the points raised in your thesis statement! The goal of the paper (the thesis statement) should be brought up towards the end of your first paragraph. If your paper does not answer your thesis, then it is basically not really a paper. Think of the thesis as a trailer to a movie, you want to get your reader hooked and answer all the things brought up in the trailer to not leave your reader hanging and confused about what they read.
This still doesn't really answer my question...
