HELP PLZ Complete the following: (a) Use the Leading Coefficient Test to determine the graph's end behavior. (b) Find the x-intercepts. State whether the graph crosses the x-axis or touches the x-axis and turns around at each intercept. (c) Find the y-intercept. f(x) = x2(x + 2)
The leading coefficient is positive and thus the graph goes to positive infinity as x-> inf The x intercepts are the roots, so 0 with multiplicity 2 and -2 with multiplicity 1 thus it touches at 0 and goes through at -2
the y intercept is the value you get when x=0, thus the y-intercept is 0
hmmm
As the leading coefficient has order 3 (odd) then the graph falls to the left and rises to the right.
ok, what part of what @ceb105 said confused you? I mean, we're assuming you've covered this in class already and your textbook has at least one chapter with it
as opposed to you asking @ceb105 to "write it for you"
but if you need clearing out, sure :)
I was saying how do i answer it. A is B is C is for ex
well, A was already answered by @ceb105 B you'd need to find it by settting y=0 C you'd need to find it by setting x=0
A is The leading coefficient is positive and thus the graph goes to positive infinity as x-> inf
yes
oh okay
is this B it touches at 0 and goes through at -2
yep
ok so c is?
set x to 0
is it 2 idk
yes
|dw:1368651841088:dw| the graph is more or less like so
