@whambamsham

Hm it is either A. or B. both seem right. But I think it's B. because more than just bases were attacked.

u can choose all that apply

I agree with whambamsham's answers, too. Both A and B are reasons that hold true for the Tet Offensive. It was a huge, simultaneous attack on cities and bases throughout South Vietnam. While the US and the South Vietnamese were successful in fending it off, public opinion back in the States only strengthened against the war because it showed that the North wasn't a beaten enemy and continued to drag American lives into the conflict. (C) is a little iffy -- it didn't immediately lead to the withdrawal of US soldiers from Vietnam, but at the same time, it didn't make people all that happy that more soldiers were going over there. We left Vietnam a few years later. And (D) is definitely not right. It was a major setback for the Viet Cong (which Johnson administration couldn't convince the public that it was), but it didn't lead to their surrender at all. They kept fighting until the very end when they finally defeated South Vietnam.

Thanks @Captain_Page_Turner ! While C is somewhat correct, A. and B. are more right than C.
