The Destination

a poem i wrote for class

The Destination
The destination is far
I can’t make it alone
I look up at the star,
My toes are so cold
But I have to keep going
I have no choice
I have to escape
But can no longer use my voice
It’s a 10 day walk
But it’s more than worth it

The destination is far
It’s closer than last
I ride on the saddle
Holding on tight
Sitting, looking, watching
Till the end of the night
I long for sleep
But it’s not my turn
It’s a seven day ride
But it’s more than worth it
The destination is far
It’s closer than last
I wait
I hear the familiar sound
I see the smoke
The cloud gets larger as it approaches
I climb on and sit
I relax as we role down the tracks
It’s a two day ride
But it’s more than worth it

The destination is far

I'm on my own
Nobody beside me
I go faster
Prices go higher
It’s my own vehicle
I go why, how, and when I want
It’s a day’s drive
But it’s more than worth it

Yeah i do well i used to i want to start it again if i can find the time to life is so hard right now. And if you ever get distracted then just stop cause it could end end up not sounding as good as u want it to.

you should keep drawing and yea, i get distracted easily so i tend to write only one page of the book a day, not very productive
