For a standard position angle determined by the point (x,y) what are the values of the trigonometric functions?
For the point (16,12) find sin theta and cos theta

I would plot the point 16,12 and draw a line from 0,0 to that point

now form a right triangle, with the x-axis its base,
the angle you want is between your line and the x-axis
find the length of the hypotenuse
then use SOH CAH TOA to define which lengths to use for sin of the angle and the cos of the angle.
