OpenStudy (mazehaq):

Which of the following is longest? (10^9 nm = 1m; 10^12 pm = 1m) 2.0 nm 200 pm 2.0 × 10^-4 m 2.0 × 10^-9 dm 2.0 × 10^-10 cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why not convert everything to meter? a pm is a picometer, 10^-12 meter. a nm is a nanometer, or 10^-9 meter. a dm is a decimeter, or 0.1 meter. does this help?

OpenStudy (mazehaq):

I donno what they mean by longest

OpenStudy (aaronq):

longest = greatest distance

OpenStudy (mazehaq):

so the smallest number will be the greatest distance?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's like comparing apples and oranges unless we convert them so that they have the same unit...have you decided what's going to be the unit?

OpenStudy (mazehaq):

I seriously can't get it :/ I'm not understanding it even after the conversion to all of them to meters.
