Really stupid question should be easy to answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you read these dimensions 30-1/4"H x 31-1/2"W x 21-5/8"D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guess I must be stupid then because I'm not seeing it xD What are these the dimensions for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I'm looking at buying a table and it seems to me that 30-1/4" means 30 inches and 1/4 of an inch, so the height of the table is only about two feet tall when it looks much more? here is the link to the table . http://www.staples.com/Z-line-Aura-Silver-Metal-and-Glass-Top-Computer-Desk/product_753242

Or maybe my persepective of 2 feet tall is off lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm guessing that would be the height, nothing else it can be right? I can imagine myself sitting there, and it looks about right to me. The D is probably depth, which is from the side you're sitting on to the opposite side. And width looks about the same as it's height in the picture, which the numbers confirm.

hmm ok thanks
