Why was the electricity generated by the TVA cheaper than that generated by private power companies?

Hello @ariel123456 , Welcome to OpenStudy. First of all, let me introduce you to this site. 

This site is an educational platform for helping students and getting helped. As, we have many students of different subject interests, so it is also divided into different groups. At present you are in OpenStudy feedback group. In this group only, feedbacks , suggestions and some bugs are reported. So, you posted your question in wrong group. You can post your question in Physics group (as it is related to Physics) , if you are unable to find the group, then follow the given below steps :

i) Just at the top of the page, you can find "Find more Subjects" . 

ii) Click on "Find More Subjects" 

iii) After clicking on it, you will find some options, there you can either search for Physics or just scroll down to find the group.

If you still have any problem related to surfing in this site, then you can just ask me or any ambassador (the ones who are having a purple A left to their name, eg. me) .
