Use the Special Right Triangle to evaluate sin 45°, cos 45° and tan 45°. Your answers should be exact (not a decimal). A. sin 45 = √2/2, cos 45 = √2/2, tan 45 = 1 B. sin 45 = 1, cos 45 = 1, tan 45 = √2/2 C. sin 45 = 1/2, cos 45 = √3/2, tan 45 = √3 D. sin 45 = 0, cos 45 = 1, tan 45 = 0
A.
how do you figure that out
sin and cos of 45 degrees is root2/2 in first quadrant of a circle, tan is sin/cos= 1
take a look at a unit circle if your still confused. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/images/circle-unit-304560.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/unit-circle.html&h=279&w=366&sz=13&tbnid=_6Om16JZLkXUaM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=118&zoom=1&usg=__CqGo36F2KuwkOjsVtdiANgmuWoM=&docid=dJkySTuOBEh4FM&sa=X&ei=9l-UUcbALM-54AOI-YEI&ved=0CEMQ9QEwAw&dur=478
you can solve it with your calculater though right? like sin(45 = 0.707106
thanks for the pic
np just practice the circle a couple of times and you will get the pattern =)
