"Sonnet 29", William Shakespeare When in disgrace with fortune and men's eyes I all alone beweep my outcast state, And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries, And look upon myself, and curse my fate, Wishing me like to one more rich in hope, Featured like him, like him with friends possessed, Desiring this man's art, and that man's scope, With what I most enjoy contented least; Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising, Haply I think on thee, and then my state, Like to the lark at break of day arising From sullen earth
The section in bold uses connotation to get its message across. Which word has a connotation of rebirth? thee despising arising scorn

i just did this sonnet 2 weeks ago lol
haha, thanks :p it's hard. also do you know any works of literature that has a gothic theme? something more in the 21st century.
idk...i would say Frankenstein but thats not 21st
hmm, yeah. Because I have to do this "Choose a work of literature that you would identify as Gothic. Identify the title of the work and at least three characteristics that make the text a Gothic work. Explain how these characteristics are present in your chosen literary work. Your paragraph should be at least six sentences." and i don't know anything gothic literature like. and I was thinking maybe something modern I've read would be considered it but it can be from any time.
