OpenStudy (destinymasha):

A spinner has four equal sections numbered 1 through 4. Ciera spun the arrow on the spinner 60 times. The arrow landed on the number four 13 times. Which of the following best compares Ciera's actual outcome to the theoretical outcome? A. The arrow actually landed on the number four more times than the theoretical outcome. B. The arrow actually landed on the number four less times than the theoretical outcome.

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

C. There is not enough information to compare the actual outcome to the theoretical outcome. D. The arrow actually landed on the number four the same number of times as the theoretical outcome.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-theretical outcome 1/4 -actual out come 13/ 60 Find the common denomator (60) 1/4 = 15 / 60 which means -theretical outcome: 15/60 -actual out come: 13/ 60

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

I dont even fully understand the theoretical outcome?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the orignal theoretical outcome was the amount of times the spinner would land on a section of the board. the section was 1/4 of the board

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

ok,

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

ok, i get it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good. :)

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

cause 4 x 15 = 60

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

Ok, Thanks so much
