B in this formula

OpenStudy (oneowone):

\[U _{B} = -\mu \times B \] Is B = \[B _{total}\] For all the magnetic fields?

@Jemurray3 @Mashy @gleem @electrokid @zaphodplaysitsafe

OpenStudy (oneowone):

Since a magnetic dipole moment can have its own magnetic field, like magnet. So now I should hold in account that magnet's magnetic field and the external magnetic field being applied too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just the external field.

OpenStudy (oneowone):

Thanks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea its just the external field..
