Is there anybody in CA 9th grade that can help me with this question?
A cell phone company orders 500 new phones from a manufacturer. If the probability of a phone being defective is 2.6%, predict how many of the phones are likely to be defective. Round to the nearest whole number.
what is 1% of 500?
a percent is just a division by 100 1% of 500 is just: 500/100
1% * 2.6 = 2.6%
500*2.6%=13 so your answer is 13.
since a phone is not a fraction, you round up in the end
13 phones :D
i just did the question, on my connections test.
this site is NOT to be used as a free answering service .... it is meant to help people learn the material.
well, excuse me .
This is a test? If so we need the question closed/Deleted.
its on a review. not really a test. isnt taken for a graade.
its so you can review and get similar problems for an exam :)
Do you have proof of it being a review?
lets still avoid handing over an answer before the askers can work thru it please
okay, im sorry :(
Srry about that.
in my connections grade book i do .
The reviews are not in the gradebook. I'm from CA as well.
mine is listed as: review for finals ;D its according to whom your teacher is. then it has a * beside it, which means NOT COUNTED IN FINAL AVG (:
* Assessment scores marked with an asterisk may still be taken for a grade. I'm not stupid.
MAY !! M-A-Y ! not WILL . i got a webmail, saying he mistakenly put it in the gradebook, but he will not put it in the aavg, thats why he put * beside it . :) im done here. <3
Well, take a screen shot and post it here so we can see that it is a review.
