well I did this and I came up with x=11/20

to arrive at x= 11/20 you would start from the left hand side of the equation meaning the 5x/7-1/14 would be the first thing you want to work with it's basically to decide on if it can be simplified you'll multiply 5 and x then multiply x and 1.
