How did the consequences of World War II shape the future of the United States ?

The consequences of World war II shaped the United States greatly! After we bombed Japan, the countries backed off, we showed that we had weapons. After World War II women and men had jobs. After World War II, life was alright. We showed that we were, sorry to say, better than some countries. We intimidated people with power, and wealth.

Actually women were encouraged to go home after WWII after the influx or male soldiers. The countries did not back off; in fact, the Soviets received leaked secrets of the A-bomb and built their own arsenal and these tensions led to the Cold War. WWII WAS VERY IMPORTANT. It pretty much ended the Great Depression in America as there were many jobs related to mobilization toward a military economy. Also, the US was the only Superpower in the world, the European countries suffered heavy losses politically, economically, and also socially. WWII also led to an increased time of prosperity, esp with the GI Bill that gave soldeirs coming home cheap education and low interest rates for housing. I think that's too detailed though..haha I loved AP US History when I took it
