how does an electromagnet work?

An electromagnet is basically a coil of wire wrapped around a core that electricity is sent through. As the electricity flows through the wire, it stirs up it's electrons creating a magnetic field.

Electromagnet work as permanent magnet but untill there is supply of electric current unless it get permanently magnetized
