OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does H+ mean when refering to acids and bases, and pH

OpenStudy (abb0t):

It can mean a lot of things but it means a hydrogen cation. If it is surrounded by brackets: \([H^+]\) then it means concentration.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

@abb0t think he wants to know that when we say H+ we mean the hydronium cation.

OpenStudy (xanthe):

H+=proton ^^

OpenStudy (xanthe):

Hydronium/Hydoxonium is H3O+
