Northern factories produced less and less. D. The North's economy was hurt more than the south's economy. PLEASE HELP!

Alright, it can't be D because the South's economy was more hurt than the Norths. They had people called carpetbaggers who would come in and fix the south. The south and Europe didn't trade as much, they were poor. So that's a no on A. That leaves B and C. Prices of goods didn't rise, they dropped. Deflation occurred, and the Civil war is also known as the Great Deflation. So your best bet would probably be C. Since slavery ended, who would pick cotton? Of course the Whites didn't want to do it, so for awhile they weren't doing so hot, until sharecropping came along and that was just as bad as slavery.
