Without Writing the equation y=x^2+3x+1 in the standard form. State whether the graph of the equation is a parabola, circle, or ellipse

OpenStudy (primeralph):

for a circle, there has to be a y^2. For a parabola there has to be an x^2 foe an ellipse, there has to be a y^2 which ones don't conform?
