the A bomb was used because of the US desire to test out a new weapon, and they believed that a water invasion of Japan would be too costly and too heavily fortified. Also, Japan rejected unconditional surrender after US threats of using the bomb. The bomb shouldn't have been used because it was locations of dense civilian population; many citizens died to either initial impact or radiation

haha no problem! simply put, we used the bomb because japan didn't want to surrender, and we shouldn't have used it because it causes mutation and cancer (but we didn't know much about radiation then)
